If you’ve never been shooting before, it might be a little intimidating. What will happen?
First, we’ll meet up at my home, where you’ll park your car and sign some paperwork. We’ll then load into my pickup (or your own vehicle if it is off-road capable) to drive to the shooting range.
We’ll be shooting at a private shooting range on the outskirts of Orderville, Utah.

Everything is done in a tightly controlled environment. I manage everything very carefully, and there’s only ever one shooter and one loaded firearm active at a time. This helps everyone stay safe.
Also, I will always be right next to the shooter. If you have a problem or a concern, I’ll be right there ready to help.

As a professional teacher, I’ve learned to help students comfortably build their skills. You’ll learn about all the safety rules and receive your safety equipment (ear and eye protection). You’ll then get to hold and try each gun while it’s unloaded first. When you’re comfortable, I’ll help you load it and start shooting live ammunition in a small-caliber, less noisy gun first. If you wish to try a larger gun, you will have that chance, too.
My biggest goal is to help you have a comfortable and safe first experience around firearms.
The National Shooting Sports Federation has a great website for first-time shooters that will give you a good overview of what you can expect. You can visit it at:
